Gürel Tekstil takes important steps outside the textile industry by adopting the principles of sustainability and environmental responsibility. In this context, we have started to generate electricity from solar energy with the Solar Power Plant project, which was commissioned at the beginning of 2020.
In 2022, we are proud to have generated 300,000 kW of energy with our solar power plant project.
Our target for 2025 is to develop our solar power plant project and reach an annual energy production of 2 million kW. We continue our energy investments in line with this goal.
Thanks to this significant investment in renewable energy, we generate 3 300,000 kWh of energy annually. This energy meets a significant portion of the electricity used in Gürel Tekstil’s production facilities and significantly reduces our company’s environmental footprint.
